B ut the sons of those who had slain him he slew not; according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but each one shall die for their own sin.

Pero a los hijos de los asesinos no les dio muerte, conforme a lo que está escrito en el Libro de la Ley de Moisés, tal como el Señor ordenó, diciendo: “No se dará muerte a los padres por causa de los hijos, ni se dará muerte a los hijos por causa de los padres, sino que a cada uno se le dará muerte por su propio pecado.”
