T hen David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devours one as well as another; strengthen the battle against the city until it is overthrown and encourage thou him.

Entonces David dijo al mensajero: “Así dirás a Joab: ‘No tengas pesar por esto, porque la espada devora tanto a uno como al otro. Haz más fuerte tu combate contra la ciudad y destrúyela’; y tú aliéntalo.”
