Atëherë tërë populli i vendit shkoi në tempullin e Baalit dhe e shkatërroi; i bëri copë-copë tërë altarët dhe shëmbëlltyrat e tij, vrau para altarëve Matanin, priftin e Baalit. Pastaj prifti Jehojada vendosi roje rreth shtëpisë së Zotit.
