A nd they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt-offerings. Now Jehu had appointed him fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

Cosí essi entrarono per offrire sacrifici e olocausti. Ora Jehu aveva appostato fuori del tempio ottanta uomini, ai quali aveva detto: «Se qualcuno lascerà fuggire uno solo degli uomini che metto nelle vostre mani, pagherà con la propria vita la vita di quel tale».
