A nd Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he was offering the sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

Absalomi, ndërsa ofronte flijimet, dërgoi të thërrasë nga qyteti i tij Gjiloh Ahithofelin, Gilonitin, këshilltarin e Davidit. Kështu komloti bëhej më i fortë, sepse populli shtohej rreth Absalomit.
