P ërveç kësaj mbreti Kir nxori jashtë nga tempulli i Babilonisë përdorëset prej ari dhe argjendi të shtëpisë së Perëndisë, që Nebukadnetsari kishte hequr nga tempulli i Jeruzalemit dhe i kishte çuar në tempullin e Babilonisë, dhe ia dorëzoi njërit që quhej Sheshbatsar, që ai e kishte bërë qeveritar,
