G ehazi i kishte paraprirë dhe kishte vënë bastunin mbi fytyrën e fëmijës, por nuk pati as zë as përgjigje. Prandaj ai u kthye të takohet me Eliseun dhe i tregoi atë që i kishte ndodhur, duke i thënë: "Fëmija nuk u zgjua".

Gehazi went ahead of them, and laid the staff on the child’s face; but there was no voice and or hearing. Therefore he returned to meet him, and told him, “The child has not awakened.”
