P astaj Davidi ndërtoi në atë vend një altar për Zotin dhe ofroi olokauste dhe flijime falenderimi. Kështu Zoti mori parasysh lutjen e bërë nga vendi dhe mjerimi u largua nga populli i Izraelit.

And David built there an altar unto Jehovah, and offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings. So Jehovah was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
