T hen Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

Al ver esto, Asa tomó el oro y la plata que aún quedaban en los tesoros del templo del Señor, junto con los tesoros del palacio real, y los entregó a sus siervos con la orden de que fueran a Damasco, donde estaba el rey Ben Adad de Siria, hijo de Tabrimón y nieto de Hezión, y le dieran este mensaje:
