D e Sitim Josué, filho de Num, enviou secretamente dois homens como espias, dizendo-lhes: Ide reconhecer a terra, particularmente a Jericó. Foram pois, e entraram na casa duma prostituta, que se chamava Raabe, e pousaram ali.

And Joshua son of Nun sendeth from Shittim, two men, spies, silently, saying, `Go, see the land -- and Jericho;' and they go and come into the house of a woman, a harlot, and her name Rahab, and they lie down there.
