a mando ao Senhor teu Deus, obedecendo ã sua voz, e te apegando a ele; pois ele é a tua vida, e o prolongamento dos teus dias; e para que habites na terra que o Senhor prometeu com juramento a teus pais, a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó, que lhes havia de dar.

to love Jehovah thy God, to obey his voice, and to cleave unto him; for he is thy life, and the length of thy days; that thou mayest dwell in the land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
