¶ It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
T o show forth thy mercy in the morning and thy faithfulness every night
u pon an instrument of ten strings and upon the psaltery, upon the harp with a pleasant sound.
F or thou, O LORD, hast made me glad with thy work; I will delight in the works of thy hands.
O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
A carnal man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:
¶ The wicked spring forth as the grass, and all the workers of iniquity blossom, so that they shall be destroyed for ever:
B ut thou, O LORD, art most high for evermore.
F or, behold, thine enemies, O LORD, for behold, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
B ut my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn; I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
A nd my eye saw my desire on my enemies, and my ears heard my desire of those that rose up against me, of the wicked.
T he righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
T hose that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
T hey shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be vigorous and flourishing
t o show that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
