1 Y los hijos de Israel según su número, que eran cabezas paternas, capitanes de mil y de cien, y sus oficiales de los que servían al rey en todos los negocios de las cuadrillas que entraban y salían cada mes en todos los meses del año, cada cuadrilla era de veinticuatro mil.

Now the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the heads of fathers' houses and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers that served the king, in any matter of the courses which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year-of every course were twenty and four thousand.

Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

3 D e los hijos de Fares fue el principal sobre todos los capitanes del ejército del primer mes.

He was of the children of Perez, the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.

4 S obre la cuadrilla del segundo mes estaba Dodai, el ahohíta; y en su cuadrilla estaba el príncipe Miclot; en la cual había veinticuatro mil.

And over the course of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, and his course; and Mikloth the ruler: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

5 E l tercer capitán del tercer ejército para el tercer mes era Benaía, hijo de Joiada sacerdote principal; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, chief: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

6 E ste Benaía era valiente entre los treinta y sobre los treinta; y en su cuadrilla estaba Amisabad su hijo.

This is that Benaiah, who was the mighty man of the thirty, and over the thirty: and of his course was Ammizabad his son.

7 E l cuarto del cuarto mes era Asael hermano de Joab, y después de él Zebadías su hijo; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

8 E l quinto capitán del quinto mes era el príncipe Samhut, el izraíta; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The fifth captain for this fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

9 E l sexto del sexto mes era Hira hijo de Iques, de Tecoa; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

10 E l séptimo del séptimo mes era Heles, el Pelonita, de los hijos de Efraín; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

11 E l octavo del octavo mes era Sibecai, el husatita, de Zarahi; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

12 E l noveno del noveno mes era Abiezer, el anatotita, de los benjamitas; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The ninth captain for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

13 E l décimo del décimo mes era Maharai, el netofatita, de Zarahi; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The tenth captain for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

14 E l undécimo del undécimo mes era Benaía, el piratonita, de los hijos de Efraín; y en su cuadrilla había veinticuatro mil.

The eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

15 E l duodécimo del duodécimo mes era Heldai, el netofatita, de Otoniel; y en su división había veinticuatro mil.

The twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

16 ¶ Asimismo presidían sobre las tribus de Israel: sobre los rubenitas el príncipe Eliezer hijo de Zicri; sobre los simeonitas, Sefatías, hijo de Maaca.

Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri the ruler: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah:

17 S obre los levitas, Hasabías hijo de Kemuel. Sobre los aaronitas, Sadoc.

of Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of Aaron, Zadok:

18 S obre Judá, Eliú, uno de los hermanos de David. Sobre los de Isacar, Omri hijo de Micael.

of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:

19 S obre los de Zabulón, Ismaías hijo de Abdías. Sobre los de Neftalí, Jerimot hijo de Azriel.

of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jeremoth the son of Azriel:

20 S obre los hijos de Efraín, Oseas hijo de Azazías. Sobre la media tribu de Manasés, Joel hijo de Pedaías.

of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:

21 S obre la otra media tribu de Manasés en Galaad, Iddo hijo de Zacarías. Sobre los de Benjamín, Jaasiel hijo de Abner.

of the half -tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:

22 Y sobre Dan, Azareel hijo de Jeroham. Estos son los príncipes de las tribus de Israel.

of Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the captains of the tribes of Israel.

23 Y no tomó David el número de los que eran de veinte años abajo, por cuanto el SEÑOR había dicho que él había de multiplicar a Israel como las estrellas del cielo.

But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Jehovah had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of heaven.

24 J oab hijo de Sarvia había comenzado a contar, mas no acabó, y por esto vino la ira sobre Israel; y así el número no fue puesto en el registro de las crónicas del rey David.

Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but finished not; and there came wrath for this upon Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.

25 ¶ Y Azmavet hijo de Adiel tenía a su cargo los tesoros del rey; y los tesoros de los campos, de las ciudades, de las aldeas y castillos, Jonatán hijo de Uzías;

And over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah:

26 y de los que trabajaban en la labranza de las tierras en los campos, Ezri hijo de Quelub;

And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:

27 y a cargo de las viñas Simei, el ramatita; y del incremento de las viñas, para las bodegas, Zabdi, el sifmita;

and over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine-cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:

28 y de los olivares e higuerales que había en las campiñas, Baal-hanán, el gederita; y de los almacenes del aceite, Joás;

and over the olive-trees and the sycomore-trees that were in the lowland was Baal-hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:

29 d e las vacas que pastaban en Sarón, Sitrai, el saronita; y de las vacas que estaban en los valles, Safat hijo de Adlai;

and over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:

30 y de los camellos, Obil, el ismaelita; y de las asnas, Jehedías, el meronotita;

and over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite: and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite.

31 y de las ovejas, Jaziz, el agareno. Todos éstos eran príncipes de la hacienda del rey David.

All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's.

32 Y Jonatán, tío de David, era el consejero, varón entendido y escriba; y Jehiel hijo de Hacmoni tenía a su cargo los hijos del rey.

Also Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counsellor, a man of understanding, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons:

33 A hitofel era consejero del rey; y Husai, el arquita era amigo del rey.

And Ahithophel was the king's counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend:

34 D espués de Ahitofel era Joiada hijo de Benaía, y Abiatar. Y Joab era el general del ejército del rey.

and after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the captain of the king's host was Joab.
